Healthy skin is the foundation of beautiful, gorgeous you. It helps combat symptoms of ageing fights any skin disease and heals much faster. 

When it comes to our overall looks, almost everyone wants to look their best. Unhealthy skin looks dull and can spoil your overall appearance. This is why it is important to take good care of your skin.

Our skin is always growing and changing, so you need to choose your skin care regimen and alter it according to your skin condition.

Be sure you drink an adequate amount of water daily to keep your skin hydrated. Ideally, you should drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. Follow a healthy, well-balanced diet that is rich in vital vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates. Eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Also include whole grains, dairy products and lean protein in your diet. 

A good skin care regimen should include three steps: cleansing, moisturizing and protecting.

  • Always use a good mild cleanser or face wash to cleanse your skin.
  • You should never wash your face with hot water as it will steal away moisture from your skin. Instead, use lukewarm or plain water.
  • You should never wash your face with harsh, chemical-laden soaps as they suck moisture from your skin.
  • Use a good moisturizer to keep your skin moisturized. Always choose your moisturizer considering your skin type.
  • People with dry skin should opt for oil-based moisturizers, while people with oily skin should go with water-based moisturizers.
  • Protect your skin from harsh sun rays.
  • Do not step out without your sunscreen.
