Skincare Treatments FAQs

- How quickly should I expect results after treatment?

Your skin may take time to respond to the treatment. It may need multiple sessions of treatment to show any results. Consult with your dermatologist about how long you need to wait for results and do not discontinue treatment earlier.

- What to expect at my first appointment for skincare treatment?

It all depends on what you are being treated for. Your first appointment will be open ended and the dermatologist will ask you a number of questions related to your condition. They may also prescribe a number of tests to confirm your diagnosis. These tests will help the doctor develop a specialized treatment plan for you.

- Do Acne Scars heal with treatment?

Typically, it takes 3 to 6 months for acne marks to disappear. However, if you have a scar, it means your skin is permanently damaged that requires medical attention. If acne has left raised spots or indentations, the damage has occurred even at a deeper level in the skin. A combination of treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, microneedling and fillers can be used to improve the appearance of your skin.

- Can I take skincare treatment while on medication for other diseases?

Before we prescribe any treatment regimen or medication we do a complete background check about your lifestyle and health. We will ask you to disclose information about your existing medications so that we can ensure that the treatment we provide does not hamper or interfere with existing conditions.

- Does anti-aging treatment really work?

While old age is inevitable, keeping your skin healthy can stave off the visible effects of it on your skin. Aging causes a loss of subcutaneous fat and collagen in the skin which gives it the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Procedures such as laser resurfacing, botox, chemical peels, microdermabrasion can work together to counteract the loss of collagen and make your skin smooth and youthful.
