Dermal fillers are used to plump up skin and give it a youthful appearance. They are used on areas of the skin that may have lost fat or elastin and look sunken. It is used in case of premature wrinkles, lines, furroughs and more. It helps to treat dark circles under the eyes, they can also be used for contouring certain areas of the face such as lips and cheeks.

Dermal fillers are usually known as soft tissue fillers, are substances that get injected beneath the skin’s surface of the skin. This procedure is administered to add volume and fullness to various parts of the face. The substances in fillers usually include calcium hydroxylapatite, Hyaluronic acid, Polylactic acid, and Polymethyl-methacrylate microspheres. Each substance is used to different signs of aging like loose skin, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Different types of fillers can treat various facial skin issues like plumping thin lips, enhancing or filling in shallow areas, removing under-eye bags or wrinkles, softening the look of scars, and reducing wrinkles’ appearance. Although the results of dermal fillers can vary, it depends on the type of filler used.
