Microneedling Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency skin tightening treatment is of two types. One is non ablative known as Endymed 3DRF and the other one is ablatively known as microneedling RF(MNRF). Endymed 3DRF  works well to tighten the skin. It involves heating the dermis, or the deeper layer of your skin, using energy waves . This is a non invasive procedure. This stimulates collagen remodeling, which helps the skin to achieve firmness and smoothness. As people age, they start noticing sagging skin and wrinkles. Radiofrequency tightening can be an effective treatment to fix such early aging problems, giving the person a fresh appearance that has fewer wrinkles and fine lines.

How Do You Prepare for Microneedling Radio Frequency?

Radiofrequency microneedling is a cosmetic procedure in which tiny needles and radiofrequency are used for skin rejuvenation. It is less invasive, takes little time, and gives good results. This treatment promotes the growth of new skin and thus helps combat skin problems like acne scars, scars from injury or surgery, wrinkles, fine lines, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, and sagging skin. Here’s how to prepare for this procedure.

  • RF microneedling takes 10 to 20 minutes, after which you can go back and continue your routine.
  • In your first appointment with the doctor, you will be asked about your medical history and what you wish to achieve from the treatment.
  • Photos of your face will be taken to help the doctors decide which technique would suit best for your skin condition and the scar.
  • Prior to the treatment, it is not advisable to consume alcohol or take any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines. These two may lead to bruising after the procedure.
  • It is recommended that you avoid using products that contain salicylic acid.
  • It is important to inform your doctor if you are taking any blood-thinning medicines.
  • If you have acne breakouts, you will be given oral antibiotics prior to the RF micro-needling treatment.
  • If you have a history of cold sores, you will be given antiviral medicines before the treatment.
  • You should avoid shaving on the day of the procedure.
  • For about a week before the treatment, you should avoid waxing, depilatory creams or electrolysis.
  • IPL or laser procedures should be avoided for at least 2 weeks before the RF microneedling treatment.
  • Sun protection is a must so as to avoid sunburn.
  • For a few hours before the treatment, avoid consuming a heavy meal, fatty foods or caffeine.
  • Before RF microneedling begins, your face will be cleaned with alcohol to prevent infection.
  • A topical or local anesthetic cream will be applied to the region where the microneedling treatment is to be administered, and the procedure will be started after an hour so that it is less painful.

What are the Benefits of RF Microneedling?

  • RF microneedling rejuvenates the skin at the surface level as well as the cellular level. It is an effective treatment for a number of skin conditions and proves to be an excellent way to give dull or aging skin, softness, and glow.
  • This treatment reduces wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.
  • RF microneedling helps restore skin texture and tone. It is a good treatment measure for uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation.
  • Dark spots, brown spots, or skin changes occurring due to sun damage can be effectively repaired with RF microneedling treatment.
  • This treatment tightens the skin and restores its firmness, and thus benefits those with loose or sagging skin.
  • Scars that occur due to inflammatory acne caused, burns, chickenpox, or vaccination, can be treated successfully using RF microneedling.
  • The skin problem of large open pores can be treated using this treatment.
  • One of the other benefits of RF microneedling is that the procedure is not time-consuming and it is minimally painful.
  • RF microneedling downtime is minimal and for most individuals, the recovery time is less than 7 days, which means the recovery from this skin procedure is fast.
